Well I felt duty-bound to mail this web log when I returned from my last vacation. It had never actually occured to me to embark on a holiday to Africa. i was told by a few workplace colleagues that they went on a calendar week long party to Africa with some friends before i started working with them.
anyhow, i in some way got the thought into my brain to go on a safari, and Africa I heard was a great choice. I found myself booking a Shark Diving holiday at a place called Pinewood Village in the South of Africa. This was one of the most amazing resorts that i had ever seen.
I had never been on any Diving holidays before, and I want you to realise that this one wasnt really a Scuba Diving holiday, mainly because I was going to be in a cage. Then i got onto this sort of tatty however rather large ship. There was a captain who I will remember very well, probably because his name resembled something I could only describe as a mythical creature, Joolawacky (the closest spelling I could think of).
Myself and two others that were with me, got into a cage and were lowered into the ocean, it wasnt that cold, but that was probably because we were wearing wet suits. The next word that flows into my ears is “Incoming!!”. That was when it happened, some torpedo shaped greyish blur slammed the side of the cage and I was knocked into the bars, we were pulled out straight away. All in all i think we were in the ocean for around 1 minute.
I saw the cage, my head hurt but not as much as the cage looked damaged. I was then immediately told that a free dive would be on the table if I wanted it. I wont tell you what i said, it’s probably not suitable for this blog post. I was invited to go Diving in Egypt, I think that happened last week!
