Even in the depression it would seem that some businesses are doing really well and luxury cruises certainly seems to be one of them.
This year cruising has seen a 5% increase from 2008 sparking the question, how? By no means is going on a decent cruise cheap, how on earth are people finding the money to go on such cruises?
Perhaps it has taught people to save a bit more. How come so many people will choose to save for a cruise.
The thing is, there are so many things to do on the ship which is why a lot of people like to go on vacation on the ship. It has brilliant fitness facilities, swimming pools, fine dining and many other things on offer including dinner shows. To be able to fit all of this in one place is certainly brilliant. Is it possible that the depression could hit next years figures hard?
Well apparently so, next year the people set to go away on cruises is set to rise by massive 6.5%. Perhaps the brand new ships have something to do with this. The prices seem to be a lot better than they used to be. Many companies are out there now instead of just the few which means there are plenty of competitive prices out there to choose from. Because of all of this competition that is coming into play it would seem the prices are set to decrease even further. So now is the time to look for a cruise holiday, they are also very relaxing as you are free to do whatever you want, check out the pool, hit the gym or just relax in your cabin.
Of course the percentage increase is just estimation and we might not see as many people taking river cruises as well as cunard cruises like we first thought, however all we can really do is wait it out.
