I was all packed and ready to go on holiday with my fianc©e when she came down with a really bad stomach ache, the day before we were going to leave. We had just about saved up enough time on holiday for this vacation, but we didn’t have any more to spare for the rest of the year, so it was really now or never. We couldn’t actually do anything now, we were just sitting at home.
We managed to cancel the holiday and somebody referred us to a site on the internet. My Fiancee and i had never heard of this thing called a Virtual holiday, and we both felt a bit funny trying it. If you can’t move about easily then this is great, the site takes you through all the cities you want. Trying to get some of these holidays when your not well isn’t easy, so something like this can work well.
This didn’t really appeal to me at first; I thought that this can hardly be fun. My first thoughts of this were that it was going to be like a trailer for a film, but made for holidays.
This was actually a lot more diverse and more intricate than I could imagine. We paid for one of these holidays, although there are some sites that do this for free for those that can’t leave the house. We were going to go to New York, so we paid for one of these virtual holidays. There were several locations and places for us to visit, it quite clearly showed us where we could go, and where we would be going. This program that we had purchased took us right the way around the city, showing us all of the sights, the picture was so smooth and so was the sound.
The following commentary was very good and described a lot of what we wanted. Virtual holidays could be the next big thing and it looks as though they are spreading to new locations.
We had fun trying this holiday, although it isnt the same as the real thing, it is similar, we would like to try the Egypt holidays or Maldives holidays one, where the journeys are far too pricey for us to try, maybe Christmas holidays just got a lot cheaper?
