Swimming pools can be used for various activities. Some use it for therapy, some use it for fun and some use it for exercising. Use of swimming pools regulary not only keeps you fit but also tones your body.
Swimming pools are in constant use in many hot places like Rajasthan, Hawaii, California and Texas. Many properties in America have gym and swimming pools to provide their residence with an option to keep them fit and healthy. Even thought you are just having fun you will still have to be very affair and careful in the pool so that you do not injure yourself or others around you, especially when you have children or toddlers in and around the pool. US consumer product safety commission estimates about 300 children under the age of 5 drown yearly in residential swimming pools in the US. About 2,300 children under 5 attend the hospital emergency room treatment. One of the reason for this is when toddlers and children approach the swimming pool not a lot of noise is made which means not a lot of people will be aware of this.
One way of preventing this is to take extra care when children and toddlers approach the pool, make sure your one eye is always on them. I am sure just by this little step the number of drowning will automatically decrease to the low. Another prevention is making sure that the pool is closed and secured when not in use. Cover the pool with swimming pool covers and make sure the water is clean with no unwanted material like dead bacteria and moulds by using swimming pool chemicals so that the kids swim in clean water and doesn’t affect their health.
3rd world countries like Kenya, Somalia and Nepal do not have clean supplies of water whether to drink or have a shower hence a lot of children are dying because of dirty water. So keeping this in mind it is vital to clean the water in the swimming pool.
