Those who are on the treadmill for forty five minutes every day are going to get some bad news. You check out that LCD display and see how many calories you’ve burned and you think you’re doing well. Be careful who you tell on the weight loss forum.
But you need to know that the more time you are on that machine, the slower your fat is burning off. To lose the flab quickly you need to get into an intense workout rather than relying on the fat zone on the machine.
A quick burst of intensity is what you need to get the fat buring off your body. Some of the cardio machines like the bikes will do intervals sometimes if you set them right.
They’ll cycle you through some recovery times and some intense times.
As long as it’s worked into your resistance scedule, you can do that with the machine and get good results. So you know a better method for intervals, I’m going to tell you about my ideas that get better results.
1. Bodyweight squats. Do squats as long as you can, as fast as you can for five minutes.
You can break it into sets of several repetitions if you want to though. Take a short break in between. Working some six pack ab exercises if you can.
Every week do more squats and do them for a longer time too. Before this idea is written off as ineffective, give it a try and you’ll learn otherwise. Besides, you can make this a difficult and intense as you want it to be.
2. Do squats with the weight of your body as an interval drill. You’ll need a way to track time so get a Gym Boss timing device or something like it. This interval course will get you to all the squats you can do in twenty seconds.
Next, stay in the lower position for half that time. This sequence should repeated 8 times.
These are two of the many methods of including interval training into your exercise plan. You’ll find that the fat is disappearing from your body without being on those machines at all.
