How many articles have you seen that say what you should DO on holiday? Is there anything that I should definitely visit when I go to this place? All of the items above can help you to enjoy your vacation, but what can you do to avoid the things that can make it worse? Let’s use Thailand as an example, so here are 6 random helpful tactics for you to remember!
- This country is extremely religious, Buddhists to be precise, make sure that you don’t make any funny remarks. Do your best NOT to damage any of Buddha’s figures, you can look, but try to avoid touching. Just because you were a vandal back home you won’t get away with it here, these statues are considered sacred projections of their god!
- Although Bangkok is very seedy, the rest of Thailand is very reserved, so make sure you keep your clothes on and try not to be disrespectful. Women, sorry but you will have to keep clothes on at night as well, Men you may remove a shirt at night if you must in public.
- Bangkok is probably the only place in Thailand where you can get away with everything listed here, but that is because of its westernisation, however there are some things I would make sure of! Mainly for the younger generations, be vigilant with your money, it can and will go walkies very fast, even when you go into a lap dance bar. Don’t let yourself down by forgetting to bring protection, be safe, you never know what you will do after a bunch of drinks!
- MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NO DRUGS. Hard drugs could land you in some serious trouble, incomparable to anything else, there was one example where a man was caught with heroin and sentenced to death!
- Try not to hang around for too long! If you are no longer under a Visa to stay in this country, then make sure you leave, there are some cases where you could be crammed in a prison cell with more than 50 other prisoners, so keep your timeline in mind!
- Don’t fall in love, or at least try not to. I know that this is an awful thing to say, just make sure they can’t get hold of your bank details, you may not think it could happen, and then BAM it does!
