If you really do not think that different age groups dance differently to others then all you need to do is step onto a wedding dance floor and you will be in complete agreeance.
So what are the differences and why on earth is this??
Younger Generations
I have to say that the kids are the maddest of the age groups as they will just run in there for a couple of minutes before running low on energy and running out again. It is pretty funny watching my kids dance as they simply run in there for the songs they recognise, dance around a little bit, realise people are watching them and then immediately run out again.
Sweet Couples
I have to say I didn’t see one single couple dancing well. Most of the time you get the male stepping on the woman’s shoes and I have to admit this is what I always do with my wife, I cannot dance at all. These tend to go in for the slow ones or the ones that everybody knows before dropping out.
20s
Many of the people in their late teens and early 20s were the ones that were on the dance floor the entire time. These people do have the energy but they need to learn to dance.
The Oldies
I have to admit, watching my elderly mother and father dance is a very moving thing, all of those dancing holidays really did pay off, they were awesome. Saying that, they couldnt really manage much more than a couple of songs at a time.
So book one of those Torquay hotels and get dancing!
