UK’s Most Expensive Airport Parking

Birmingham Airport Car Park

Many people use short stay airport parking for many different purposes, one purpose is when they go to receive someone at the airport. Birmingham airport parking has one of the most expensive short stay parking in the UK. Recent research shows that the newly opened short stay parking in Birmingham is expensive than Manchester and Heathrow even though Heathrow is one of the busiest airport. So why is Birmingham short stay parking expensive?? I bet it wants to be one of the most expensive short stay parking of the World?

Cost comparison between Heathrow, Manchester and Birmingham airport parking.

To park in a short stay Heathrow airport parking will cost you £8 for 30 mins.

To park in a short stay Manchester airport parking will cost you £8 for 30 mins.

To park in a short stay Birmingham airport it will cost you 20 pounds for 40 minutes. First half an hour costs £10 and thereafter the car park charges £5 for every 5 minutes. This is a total rip off. Just imagine the situation of you receiving someone from Birmingham airport and their plane is delayed by 60 minutes. When you calculate that it will come upto 70 pounds in total WOW!. I rather spend that 70 pounds in something productive – like a buy a cheap return ticket to Venice for a romantic weekend. No wonder this car park is always empty these days as shown in the video in the post – noone wants to pay that much.

The airport parking facility should be cheaper than this and also friendly for their customers(money wise). People use the short stay parking to either drop or receive their friends and family. Just imagine a person receiving his/her parents in this airport whom he/she hasn’t seen for years. These moment of happiness can be taken off his/her face which was there after meeting the parents when they go to pay for the car park when they will have to pay £30 for half an hour of parking.
