A trip around the world can be a tricky thing to prepare for, you just need to be careful not to over do it. Some people need to pack some more than others, but something that is key, is to pack light. Make sure that you do not go mad packing, even if you are going for months, you want to keep as little on you as possible.
A trip around the world usually involves you walking long distances and staying in varied accommodation, so you need to make sure that you have clothes for all occasions, yet still stay light. Try not to overload yourself with clothes, take it easy with everything like T-shirts and Sweaters. Two pairs of jeans will do you fine, don’t take any more, maybe a couple of pairs of shorts. Underwear is very important, it won’t be able to get washed everyday so take plenty of it with you. Just try and think of it this way, you can get away with wearing Jeans for up to a week (I know gross, but deal with it). Underwear is something that you will want to change everyday, the last thing you need is a sweaty crotch bringing you down, I won’t go into too much detail!
A sleeping bag, this is the most obvious item, but also the least amusing to forget. The level of quality for all the hotels won’t be the most amazing, and you may find that you need a sleeping bag for extra warmth. The sleeping bag will be an absolute life saver, there is no doubt in my mind you will need it at some point. Luxury holidays this isn’t what i would call a luxury experience. Some countries require you to where some more “water resistant” clothing, but never fear, as long as you have your umbrella you will be fine. You may not think it but an umbrella will really help out.
