Europe’s Best Cities

So you are planning a trip to Europe? There are certain cities that are must sees. They are the location of world famous sites and landmarks, and offer a special insight into Europes myriad of cultures.

London is amazingly diverse. More languages are spoken in London than in any other city in the world! This diversity creates an amazing variety of cultures that are reflected in Londons dining, theaters, museums, galleries and even its famous landmarks. Do not miss Big Ben or Buckingham Palace. Being a center of world culture, London offers shoppers the unique experience of finding the best in designer clothing as well as the opportunity to shop for many other interesting items.

The beautiful Spanish city of Barcelona sits on the Mediterranean coast. As a consequence of it being the capital of the Catalan region of Spain, it has its own proud and unique history and culture, which sets it apart from the majority of Spain. Historically and and architecturally there is a lot of interest, from Roman ruins to spectacular churches. There are countless art galleries and museums to walk around and also a selection of beautiful, relaxing beaches. For sports fans, there is the opportunity to watch a game of football at the Camp Nou, which is home to what is widely agreed to be the best football team on the planet.

The famous Italian city of Venice is set into a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It is essentially many small islands joined together by a canal. At one time it was one a power base of Europe as a result of its naval might and strong trade connections. Whilst it is no longer a hub of economic activity, its grand and magnificent buildings and monuments remain as testament to its glory days. These days it is a very calm and relaxing place – perfect for a romantic trip away. For the true Venice experience, visitors should spend at least a few hours taking a boat trip through the streets. It will be something that you never forget.

Everyone must see Paris at least once in their life. It is known as one of the most romantic cities in the world. It is also a large city that pulses with life. Many world famous architectural sites are found in Paris, including The Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame and The Eiffel Tower. The River Seine runs through Paris, giving it much of its character. Look carefully and you will find small squares and secret gardens at the heart of Paris. The Louvre is the most well known museum of art in Paris but there are many others to visit as well. And who does not know that Paris is a center for food and shopping?
