Want To Go To New York? New Service To JFK From American Airlines

The US company American Airlines has now started a new service to JFK, New York, from Manchester Airport. The service first ran on May 16th and will continue until September 30th, 2010.

Running up to (and including) 7 times a week, it gives passengers around the Manchester area a perfect solution for breaks in America, going to one of the most popular destinations in the World. Whereas many people might see other destinations in America as more suitable for family holidays (Florida in particular), New York is an ideal destination for younger people who are looking for a cosmopolitan, busy holiday centred around shopping and superb night life. It’s not called the City that never sleeps for no reason!

Should you want to take advantage of the new summer service, flights will cost you around £530 for a non-stop flight, although if you’re happy to make a connecting flight you’ll be able to get it for between £50-100 cheaper. You should remember however that you’ll probably also need to consider the cost of travel insurance and parking while you’re away, although the Manchester airport parking facilities are good and not overly expensive.

If you’re trying to cut down the price of your flights, have a look at last minute deals online, as you can usually save yourself some money on your tickets. As far as airport parking goes, try and spend a decent amount of time searching on the internet. Be sure to search for the airport you’re after and click on more than just the first one or two links, have a proper look around as it gives you a greater chance of finding a suitable deal. You should find you come across lots of companies offering to supply you with airport parking, which should allow you to note down and compare all the quote and save yourself some money.

You should also try and save money on exchanging your currency, try and avoid the airport for exchanging currency just because it’s easy and convenient. Keep hold of your pounds or dollars and properly shop around, you’re almost guaranteed to find a better deal in an alternative place if you’re willing to spend the time having a look around. Some places will even allow you to exchange currency with no comission whatsoever, although you may have to prove you’re a member. Banks and The Post Office are good places for this, but you may have to demonstrate that you have an account with them.
