Where Will The Trampoline Olympic Gold Go In 2012

Yes it might be early to say who will take the trampolines gold in London in 2012, I am just trying to let people know let’s get excited Olympic games are not far off. One of the biggest thing happened in the UK after 1966′s World cup. 2012 will be another year of great sports because you will have Olympics along with European Championship to watch.

Gymnasts perform their acrobatic skills in trampolines, which bacame a part of Olympic games in 2000. Some common acrobats are somersaults and twists. Twists and somersaults are certainly the hard jumps while trampolining. When Russia were Soviet Union they used to rull gymnastics but now China have taken full control of gymnastics. In 2008 USA and Russia were out performed by China who finished top in medals tally. China won 51 gold medals in the whole Olympics whereas USA in second place only won 36. This is a massive improvement from China.

Hence the kids in China are practising trampoline jumps on whatever size they can afford from 8ft trampolines to 10ft trampolines. It is great to see that children are getting into a sport which has only started few years ago. Its the success of the nation in the Olympics that is getting these kids interested in these sports.

In the UK that doesn’t happen because all kids want to do is either play football or cricket. Even if they start from when they are kids when they get to the national level they cannot perform as we have seen from this year’s World cup. We all know there is something wrong somewhere but not sure what. China does have a massive population hence they can find specialist on every game, one day they will surely play cricket too :o ). In the coming 2012 Olympics in London I believe China will take the overall lead in gold medals again.
