With that in mind I’ve been looking at some options I’ve never considered before such as cruises, cruises must be pretty safe, the targeted age demographic is 50+ so I don’t have to worry about being stabbed, mugged or kidnapped while on the ship and luxury cruises its quite clear that they offer the same benefits and facilities as a 5 star hotel. I also noticed Disney had launched a new ship called the Disney Dream, I’ll be honest, I’m a big kid at heart and I’m really tempted by it but I don’t have any kids and I don’t want to be labelled a paedophile so I’m steering clear.

One of the other places Ive never considered going on holiday to before is North America, America has so many amazing sights and some pretty astonishing country side in its locker and the thought of seeing some of the amazing places such as the Grand Canyon really does tick my boxes, also there are many cruises starting and finishing in America so there is the scope to combine both while booking a America holidays. Im still undecided as to where Ill do on my next holiday but Im now looking at places I would never have considered in the past and Im looking forward to where itll take me.

Ok let’s start at the bottom and work our way up! This section applies to those of you who are looking to take California Holidays in the near or distance future, the south-western coastline isn’t too alien for tourists to visit due to the region being crammed full of huge cities which exude different cultures within itself, so if we had to we’ll label the region a “continental culture” would suit it best.

Heading east from California and you’ll find yourself in the baron Nevada desert until you’re greeted by a rainbow of florescent lights and electric atmosphere, yes we’re talking about Las Vegas! Vegas is undoubtedly the highlight of the Nevadan state and is pumped full of everlasting energy, excitement and thrills! I took my first Las Vegas holiday with American Sky. Vegas is completely unique and there isn’t a city quite like it in the entire world! as we’ve headed further inland the culture’s of the people have become much more”Americanized” which can ultimately means the people are extremely self proud of themselves and their country (be careful in telling jokes or having a sarcastic humour as you can easily cause offence) also they are overly friendly which can get mixed reviews especially to Europeans were meeting a stranger often means a reserved approach.

This Americanized culture is found throughout most of the south-eastern and Northern states, until your reach the “The concrete jungle” in State of New York! This city is yet again somewhat unique, New York is a mammoth metropolis which boasts hundreds of sky scrapers that reach into the heavens leaving you feeling dwarfed and outstanded by the sheer size of the immense city.

Although the “Americanized” culture is found in New York it’s diluted by the masses of other cultures, Instead you’ll find a fast paced, aggressively fierce lifestyle which helps aid new Yorkers through their everyday lives, so please don’t take offense by the New York locals as they don’t mean to come across rude it’s just hard wired into the day to day running of their dog eat dog lives.

- A lot of people overestimate what they can do on a holiday. And when there are tours involved, this is something which is far more likely to happen. When you are sitting at home planning out every aspect of your holiday, it seems very easy. You would be forgiven for thinking that visiting a city in one day is going to be possible from looking at a map. The reality is though that travelling is very tiring and if you try to pack too much in you will turn your holiday away into a hardship rather than a break.

- You must be prepared to be a little bit flexible while on holiday so don’t make plans which are set in stone. It is highly unlikely that things will go exactly as you had planned and you will probably end up feeling very disappointed if you had your heart set on your plans. If you can be a bit spontaneous you will have a much better time.

- Unless you are completely sure about the hotel or guest house you have chosen to stay in, then only booking for the first night might be a good idea. The photographs you see of hotels and resorts on the internet never look the same in reality. You can look around for alternative accommodation in a particular area once you get there if you have only booked in for the first night.

1. The state park of Caladesi. One of the most attractive aspects of this beach is that it isn’t very well known. Tricky to find, this beach is a hidden gem. In Florida you can find the clear blue seas and powdery white sandy beach of Caladesi.
2. The Hanalei Beach in good old Hawaii. Probably a little more obvious than the number 1 choice, but still just as beautiful. The time it takes to travel all the way to Hawaii from anywhere in the world, could take it’s toll on the amount of visitors it receives. There is a very distinct line in the colour contrast on this beach, between the beach itself, the trees and the water!
3. The Siesta Beach Sarasota: Florida again, but it is no surprise really with the great weather. Just like any tropical beach you could imagine, this one is surrounded by Palm Trees.
4. Now it’s time for San Diego, and this beach is privately owned by a very stunning hotel, and they pay as much attention to the beach as they do the hotel at the Hotel Del Coronado. This beach is greatly respected for being kept clean and very tidy.
5. North Carolina and the Cape Hatteras, Outer Banks: A beautifully unique beach, with a lighthouse. The water where swirls around sand and rock jetties, making a beautiful effect. All of you that enjoy a good sunbathe and a nice hike, will enjoy this place.

These are just some of the greatest beaches in the USA, thanks to these America holidays keep rising, now we need to find some beaches for your Miami holidays and California holidays, although maybe a couple of obvious ones here!

New York.

Many people would claim that you haven’t really seen a city until you’ve visited New York. Although there are plenty of bigger cities in the world there are very few that are more exciting. New York has so much to offer for the visitor such as sightseeing, shows and shopping. There is always something happening in the Big Apple, and once you have been once you will want to keep on returning.

Florida.

Disney World is probably the most famous location in the whole of Florida but there really is so many other things to do here. The beaches here are truly amazing and there are some wonderful hotels here too. There are a myriad of entertainment venues here as well as the world famous Disney World. Some people will only visit Florida when they go to the states and they just keep returning.

San Francisco. San Francisco is considered by many to have had the best of times during the sixties although there are plenty of people who still think that the best is yet to come for this exciting city. You will really want to spend a few days here to appreciate its entire beauty.

San Diego.

This is one of the most welcoming, beautiful cities in the US and it is located in California. If you stay in San Diego you can travel across to Mexico and back in one day as it is on the Mexican border. San Diego has something different to offer the traveller so is definitely worth a visit.

Like To Keep Busy

Florida is a great place to stay and is even better suited for the people that like to keep busy on their travels there are endless things to do. If you like to keep busy then this is the place to get your holiday home simply because there are endless things to do here. The reason that you are not likely to get bored here is because of all of the theme parks the place has to offer out. Some of my favourites include Universal Studios, Sea-World and I don’t think I could even begin to pick between the Disney Parks. You can also take a tour of the swamp and take a look at all of the brilliant nature the state has to offer. The great thing about Florida is that in the evenings you can sit back and relax round the pool and then go out for some really tasty foods. Make sure you have your holiday home insurance

Quiet Type?

If you are the type of person that likes going on a quiet holiday enjoying the weather around the pool and then perhaps going out in the evening for a nice meal then I would recommend you go to one of the canary islands. One of the quietist is Lanzarote because the population is friendly, keep to themselves and you hardly ever see any trouble there. However if you do need something to do you can always take a trip to the volcano where you board a coach that only the most skilled of drivers could possibly navigate through the very narrow roads.

Of course the alternatives are endless with other properties available all over the world, make sure you have overseas property insurance or if your thinking about a cottage you get out second home insurance.

OK to kick things off, let’s check out these Shopping holidays? New York City, where all you shoppers can wave goodbye to all of your funds. However you will need more than your average day to cover the majority of this city’s major shopping district. If you want to go shopping crazy and meet others just the same as yourself, this is where you need to be. Are you one of those that likes to investigate some of the most upscale clothes stores in the world, why not try Madison’s Avenue. From 57^th street to the 85^th street is one of the best places to spend a lot of cash in one go. If I were to give you one name that would be able to set the standard for the level of fashion designer, would Prada help. Well you only take the plunge walking down here if you want to spend all your money very quickly. Times Square, day or night, is great for shopping or just being awestruck by the lights and advertisements. Also known as Super sign city for its thousands of neon and LED advertising boards.

Now it’s time to look at those thrilling Theme Parks! Theme Park holidays have been around for a long time, however they are really pulling in some massive amount of tourists now. Now it used to be that you would only visit a Theme Park for one day. When your Theme Park grows to the size of a small city, you will have to give people some form of accommodation, just like Disney World. This quickly took off and the Hotel has been growing ever since it opened. The ability to stay in a theme park of this size is spectacular; mainly it allows you to visit all aspects of the theme park

So New York holidays could expect to do fairly well, as should Florida holidays, USA tours are the new thing to try these days!

Do you like snow, sun, wind, rain or storms, climate choice is important too. If you enjoy yhe cold climate then perhaps renting an igloo could be a good idea, but in all honesty Canada could be the place for you. Of course the hotter climates include Spain, Turkey and other places within Europe. England is also another great place to visit although I am not sure many people would want a holiday home here simply because it is very cold here in the winter and even the summer.

America

The USA is my personal choice simply because I think the country is wonderful, the majority of the people very nice and the way the country is currently run is just how I like it. The state I would choose? Well it is obviously going to be Florida simply because I have visited the state on so many ocassions and would adore living out there.

There are actually many reasons why this place should be a site to look at. The best bits of this country has got to be the food, people and countryside. There is not one place in Spain that I would not say do not go to because the people out there are so nice. The great thing is that the food is good and can again choose to stay within a city or countryside. You would certainly need a pool if you were going here in the summer.

France

This is a wonderful country because it has so many things in it like the cities, countryside as well as the hot or cold climate. France is a good place to spend a holiday in because of all of the culture the country is home to as well as the different climates.

Even if you are thinking about getting a nice cottage you should think about insurance for holiday cottages just to back you up if something does go wrong.

Star Wars Weekends 2009 Parade at Disney’s Hollywood

Here it is part two of the blog, what does Disney World have to offer you. The rest of the article will go on and explain the other two major theme parks as well as water parks and hotels.

Hollywood Studios- This Park known to many as the used to be MGM Studios is basically what it says in the title. A theme park based upon Hollywood. Rides include The Hollywood Tower of Terror and The Great Movie Ride. The night time show is known as Fantasmic and features Mickey Mouse against the forces of evil. Aerosmith also feature in a fast rollercoaster that takes place in a lot of darkness.

Disneys Animal Kingdom Park

This is the largest Disney Park in the entire world covering a massive 500 acres and also the first Disney Park to be based around animal conservation. At the centre of this park is the Tree of Life a 145-foot artificial tree that contains the 3-D film, Its Tough to Be a Bug which is of course taken from the pixar film A Bug’s Life. This Tree is supposed to resemble the tree in which Rafiki from The Lion King lives but is on a much larger scale. The park also contains a real life safari, a dinosaur ride, Expedition Everest where guests must battle it out with the Yeti and all kinds of different animal themed shops and restaurants.

Disney is also home to two water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach each one with their own Disney unique storyline. Disney World also has a wedding pavilion, a sports complex and a speedway track. On top of all of this there are thirty two resorts and hotels in Disney World alone.

There are several reasons why it is essential that at least one stage of your life you book your holidays to go to Walt Disney World Florida. The first is of course if you love the films or the characters themselves as this is the best way to meet all of your favourite ones from almost every single Disney film ever made.

A good place to visit if you love your theme parks. Walt Disney World consists of many theme parks all with different things within in them.

Magic Kingdom- This is the first to be built and most famous of all the parks. With the amazing, iconic Cinderella Castle right in the middle of the theme park this part is actually split into six sections.To actually get into the park you must first cross a giant lake by either boat or monorail. This is one of the main reasons people actually choose to visit the park first as it shows just how much thought went into the devlopment of the park itself.

EPCOT- Is the park with all of the technlogy within it. The first part of the park is actually known as future world and has some pretty futuristic rides in it including Mission Space in which you are go on a simulated mission to mars. The second part is known as the World Showcase which holds the cultures of eleven countries of the world. In the centre of it all is World Showcase Lagoon in which the thirteen minute show named IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth is held every single night. Although EPCOT is a brilliant theme park it is also there to teach.
