Shark diving is becoming increasingly more popular amonst travellers, holiday makers and thrill seekers alike and there has never been such a wide choice of locations to try it out. If you’re considering going diving with sharks, here are the most popular destinations:

South Africa is generally considered to be the best and most popular shark diving destination on Earth, particularly given the fact that you can cage dive with huge Great White sharks. There are numerous diving locations and highly reputable diving instructors in the country, making it an excellent choice for diving holidays. Although the best single location in South Africa is debatable, I would recommend Aliwal Shoal.

Australia is another very popular and highly regarded location for shark diving, as well as for scuba diving holidays in general. Australia has the second highest numbers of Great White sharks in the world, with South Africa being the only country to exceed their numbers. If you are considering a holiday in Australia to dive with shark you should make your way to the Southern coast, as Great Whites prefer the colder waters.

You might find it surprising, but you can even go shark diving in the UK, although (somewhat obviously) these sharks will not be in their natural habitat. The Blue Planet Aquarium in Cheshire, UK, has captive Sand Tiger sharks which you’re able to dive with. As well as offering you the opportunity to swim with sharks, but is also home to Europe’s largest collection of shark species for you to enjoy looking at.

Another extremely popular destination for shark diving is the Caribbean, which has a huge variety of sharks in its’ waters. Caribbean diving will not only allow you to cage dive with bigger species, but will offer you the opportunity to free dive with certain species, like the Tigeth Shark for example.

Tunisia, in northeastern Africa is a beautiful country to visit: a country of spices and flowers, ancient history, friendliness, wonderful hotels, restaurants and first class airports.

Tunisia has a mild and scenic coastline and a perfect climate. The Mediterranean makes up its northern, and part of its eastern border. Libya is also to the east and south, and Algeria is to the west. In the over 3000 years of its existence, this country has seen many civilizations pass through and leave their marks: the Phoenicians, Romans, Vandals, Byzantines, Turks, Spanish and French. Todays Tunisian culture is a mosaic of all of these cultures that have gone before.

Tunisian history is displayed in Tunisias many museums and historic sites. Visit the huge National Museum of Bardo, near Tunis, to see an example of 17th and 18th century Arab architecture and decoration. It was a 13th century palace and has been expanded over time. You will see vaulted ceilings, galleries and cupolas. The jewel of this particular museum is its collection of mosaics. Its the finest such collection in the world. The Carthage Museum is famed for its excellent collection of Roman and Punic artifacts, including items that would have been used in everyday life. The extensive display of jewelry must not be missed. There is also an extremely distinctive display of Punic masks made of colored glass paste.

Visit the Dar Ben Abdallah Museum of Traditional Arts and Customs, in Tunis, to see exhibits of traditional Tunisian arts and learn about the customs of the city of Tunis. It is housed on the bottom floor of the 18th century Dar Ben Abdallah Palace in the medina, or the heart of old Tunis. Most museums in Tunisia are not open on Mondays. There are many Tunisian festivals that could be the highlight of any holiday in Tunisia. Every village, no matter how small, has at least one festival and visitors are always welcome. The Saharian Festival is for those who are mesmerized by the vast Sahara. It takes place in Douz, considered to be the gateway to the Sahara. It is held during the second week in November. The International Music Festival at the El Jem Coliseum offers the music of world renowned orchestras and artists. It is an evening festival set in a Roman coliseum. It takes place from mid-July to mid-August.

What is the food in Tunisia like? Bread is the specialty of Tunisia. In the country you will find unleavened bread baked in special clay ovens called tabounas. Tunisians eat bread at every meal and every part of Tunisia has its own special bread. Lamb is the Tunisians meat of choice. Due to its long coastline, there is also a plethora of seafood and olive oil, salads and all sorts of herbs and spices including cumin, coriander, garlic, parsley, and dried peppers enhance the flavor of Tunisian food. Tunisians love hot and spicy food but often serve their signature spicy condiment, Harissa, as a side dish for tourists who arent up to the hot food. Dont pass up dessert. Turkish Baklava, a confection made of layers of crispy pastry, ground nuts and cinnamon and soaked in honey syrup is too good to miss.

Tunisia is a world-class destination for your world-class holiday!

Turkey is an intriguing place to spend your next holiday. Antiquity in Turkey exists right next to modern cities and sights. Natural sites vie with modern cities as the focus of a tourist’s attentions. Turkey is a country that is both part of Europe and Asia. It is the cradle of one of the world’s earliest civilizations. Any tourist will be thrilled with the fabulous restaurants and cuisine of this country as well as the night life in the larger cities. Outdoor activities include yachting, ballooning, paragliding and diving! Turkey is bordered by sea on three sides and the coastline is 6,500 km long!

Turkey is at the crossroads of Europe and Asia and is a country of many cultural influences. It has been settled, since ancient times, by thirteen different civilizations. This makes for an interesting cultural mix and the contrast of modern life with all of the sites of antiquity. Turkey offers the world a unique mixture of Eastern and Western culture.

Turkey is beautiful at any time of the year but the peak months to visit are April through October. Besides chilling on one of Turkey’s warm and sunny beaches, tourists will want to partake in Turkish Cuisine. Perhaps a meze style meal of tiny plates, served with some of Turkey’s red or white wine and then followed by one of this country’s delicious desserts will whet your appetite. The truth is that the cuisine of Turkey is so varied that one almost must visit the country itself to taste the flavors of Turkey.

Turkey is also one of the birthplaces of the Christian religion. While tourists enjoy seeing the mosques of Turkey, they can also walk in the footsteps of one of the Catholic Church’s most famous saints, St. Paul. He was born in the Turkish city of Tarsus and preached throughout Turkey. Each one of Turkey’s many regions offers museums and historical sites for visitors on holiday. In the area of the Aegean you can visit the Archaeological Museum near Konak Square. Its statues of Poseidon and Demeter once stood in the Agora. In Gaziantep, in southeastern Turkey, you might spend an afternoon at the Archaeology Museum that is home to artifacts from Neolithic, Hittite and Roman times.

A holiday in Turkey will never be forgotten. Feast on the sights, sounds and tastes of Turkey, a country that spans two continents and thousands of years of history!

There are many, many attractions that tourists in London visit annually but there are several that every London visitor has to see.

- Big Ben: the bell in the clock at the north end of Westminster Palace. Big Ben is the largest chiming clock with four faces in the world. It is the largest free standing clock tower in the world.

- The Tower of London: can be found on the north bank of the River Thames. It was built in 1966 during the Norman Conquest. William the Conqueror built the White Tower from which the Tower of London is named. Since 1100, the Tower of London has been used as a prison. It is a series of buildings set in two concentric circles that are surrounded by a wall and a moat.

- London Bridge: is a bridge that spans the River Thames and connects London City and Southwark in central London. It is the western end of the Pool of London. It was the only bridge over the downstream of the Thames until 1729 when the Putney Bridge opened. The present bridge opened in 1793, one of many bridges at the same site that have been called London Bridge.

- The Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace: is possibly Londons number one tourist attraction. The palace itself was built in 1702 as the London home of the Duke of Buckingham. Buckingham Palaces state rooms are open from late July to September. The Queens Guard and the Queens Life Guard are the two groups of infantry and cavalry that guard the royal residences in London.

- The London Eye: (or Millennium Wheel) is a huge Ferris wheel (443 feet or 135 metres tall). It is the tallest Ferris wheel in all of Europe and the most popular paid tourist attraction in the UK. You can find it at the western end of Jubilee Gardens on the South Bank of the River Thames in the borough of Lambeth.

- Princess Dianas Memorial: was officially opened in July 2004 by Queen Elizabeth II. It was designed to express Princess Dianas love of children. It is in the southwest corner of Hyde Park.

Any visitor to London could be kept busy 24/7 visiting exciting places. The ones mentioned above are just the tip of the iceberg of things to do and see when visiting historic London.

There are many incredible places to visit and sights to see on England’s South Coast. But before we get to that, let’s discuss what England’s south coast is comprised of. England’s South Coast is part of Southern England which includes the southern counties of England. The UK considers Southern England to include South West England, South East England, Greater London and the East of England. Here are some places you won’t want to miss on England’s South Coast:

- Beachy Head: is south of Eastbourne and is a snow white cliff on the end of the South Downs. It can be reached by traversing a scenic footpath. Don’t miss its famous striped lighthouse. The cliff path that passes through Cuckmere, Haven and Seaford provides a great hiking opportunity and is 3.5 or 6km long.

- Bramber Castle: is on the west side of Bramber village and is an English Heritage property. The ruins of the castle gatehouse are from the original gatehouse built by the Normans.

- The Kent Battle of Britain Museum: can be found in Hawkinge. See the Luftwaffe Room, the Aircraft Armaments Room, the R.A.F. room and an art gallery all housed in an old armory.

- The Eurotunnel: crosses under the channel between Coquelles near Calais and Folkestone in Kent. It’s the newest and fastest transport system on the English coast, having been completed in 1994. There is a visitor’s center in Folkstone. The Exhibition Centre in Cheriton (west of Fokestone) explains the construction of the Eurotunnel.

- Borde Hill Gardens: is in Haywards Heath in Sussex. It’s 200 acres of woods and parkland and is a well known botanical garden. It is famous for its year-long displays of colour.

- Romney Marsh: extends along the coast, beginning at Hythe. It is nearly 50,000 acres that is devoted mostly to the growing of flowers. It is an immensely beautiful visit in the spring.

- Mermaid Street: offers enchanting strolls in Rye. You will see The Mermaid Inn, a 15th century pub notorious as a meeting place for smugglers. Henry James lived out his last years here in Lamb House, a 19th century Georgian building, while writing his beloved novels “The Wings of the Dove” and “The Golden Bowl”. Don’t miss the Old Hospital. It’s a triple-gabled, half timbered 15th to 16th century building.

When planning to visit England’s South Coast, learn as much as you can about the many places to see and things to do in the area. There are many more than could be listed here. The South Coast of England is a wonderful place to visit.

Brighton, England, is just bursting with things to do! Attractions range from walking on the beautiful beaches of Brighton or joining in some beachfront sports to visiting the Royal Pavilion, the summer home of British royalty for many years.

The biggest allure of Brighton is, of course, its legendary beach. It has been voted one of the Top 10 city beach break destinations in the world. Brighton Pier is in the background so that the sun and fun of the beach meld seamlessly with the fun of Brightons funky beachside clubs. Enjoy Brightons world famous blue flag beach, take a leisurely stroll along the water, or stop into one of Brightons cafes or restaurants for a cool drink or something to eat. You wont be able to wait for evening when Brightons evening venues open for a whirlwind night of clubbing.

Dont bypass the Royal Pavilion. It is still one of the most dazzling and exotic of all of the UKs many beautiful buildings. Built between 1815 and 1822 by architect John Nash, it was the summer home of Prince Regent, George IV. You will enjoy historic art and furniture, some of it lent by HM The Queen herself. Dont miss the Palace tearoom that overlooks the gardens and the Palace Shop is a fun visit for a little shopping.

Right beside of Brighton beach you will find acres and acres of cool, green, inviting spaces within the towns of Brighton and Hove. A must visit is the historic Kipling Gardens in Rottingdean. Rudyard Kipling lived at The Elms from 1897-1902 the site of these famous gardens. Visit the herb garden and the croquet lawn and bring a picnic to eat in the wild garden”.

There are 14,000 acres of countryside in and around Brighton. In fact, the area has been awarded National Park status in recognition of the natural beauty of the South Downs. There are walks and trails, bicycling, all sorts of plants and wildlife a place of unequaled beauty to be enjoyed by visitors and locals alike.

Brighton is the place to be in England, not only in the summer but all the other seasons as well. Brighton Pier, for example, is only closed one day a year Christmas Day. Make a point of spending your next holiday in Brighton. You wont be sorry that you did!

Alicante is home to the Costa Blanca an impressive stretch of white sandy beaches. Therefore villas Costa Blanca are popular and any information you can get on finding a decent one is invaluable.

Benidorm is one of the most family friendly and enjoyable places to visit. Getting a villa round here is great but not necessarily the real Spain.

The Alicante area has some splendid builds and is definitely worth visiting if you like the city life. The are numerous features to be found at some of the villas available. Most people will go for a private villa because it will provide you with your own swimming pool. Being able to go for a swim whenever you want is a great benefit of having you own pool.

You will find the beaches to be spectacular and definitely worth spending a lot of time at. Costa Blanca means whit coast in english and was originally named to attract more tourists. The beaches are beautiful with lovely sandy shores.

There are some great destinations to visit like Moraira and Javea. These are quaint little towns that remind you of Spain’s colonial past. It’s not too difficult to get a holiday villa in Moraira they have wonderful cobbled street and a real traditional atmosphere worth visiting or staying for a few nights.

You will find this kind of medieval village all across the country. Look around these locations and you will find some beautiful architecture. You can be sure that there will be a beautiful cathedral or church near by whatever region of Spain you choose to visit.

Spain has become the must-see destination for over 50 million visitors every year, who come to this sun-blessed country to enjoy the amazing culture and ancient heritage as well as the great weather. Whether your tastes are more in tune with the fine art of Picasso or the flavors of a good Paella, Spain has something for everyone. Spain has opened several new airports in recent years, making it much easier to reach parts of the country that were once visited only by the hardiest of travelers. While this may make it more convenient to reach all the great sites, it has also made it more difficult to decide where to go.

For first time visitors, a visit to Spain’s great cities is a wonderful way to begin your trip. Cities like Barcelona, which graces the waters of the Mediterranean along the Southern coast. Originally a Roman port, this ultra-modern city is filled with fantastic sights that will astound even the most well-traveled tourist. Stops at the great Gothic cathedral of Santa Eulalia and Gaudi’s famous Sagrada Familia are a must. Then enjoy a walk along the beach, hunt for bargains in the many shops and finish the day with dinner at one of the fine restaurants that fill this city. Whether you spend a day or three, Barcelona has plenty to offer.

If you are a worshiper of the sun, then you need to make a trip to Alicante, which would be a perfect spot to visit after you stop in Barcelona since it is right down the coast from there. It is not hard to see why Alicante is a favorite among tourists since it has many beaches to sun bathe on and also has many more streets to roam. From Alicante, if you want adventure, you can visit a real pirate’s cove at Tabarca or you can hop a train to visit the Palmeral of Elche, a designated world heritage site and also home to one of the biggest palm tree groves on the entire planet.

A short drive down the road is the city of Murcia, which is famous for its shear variety of options. Take in the breathtaking views of the great mountains, or absorb some of the best architecture in the area. There is plenty of sunshine, of course, as well as the spectacular Mar Menor. You will never forget that picture-perfect sunset of the pristine waters of the Mar Menor’s great lagoon.

If you need dry heat, then you should definitely stop in Almeria, one of Spain’s major port destinations. Almeria has an average of 330 days of sunshine, every single year. You can visit Alcazaba, a Moorish castle if you are into history. Or, if you like movies, then you can go to the desert of Tabernas where many Hollywood westerns were made. And if you like scuba diving or snorkeling, then you have to go to Cabo de Gata-Nijar Natural Park which offers the best diving anywhere.

Malaga is one of the most popular cities with tourists, thanks to its location near the Costa del Sol. There are several ways to reach this busy town, and plenty to keep you occupied. Take a stroll through the Picasso museum, jump from an airplane with your fellow skydivers, or soak up the sights and sounds of a real Spanish bull-fight. That Malaga is as popular with Spaniards as it is with foreign tourists is testament to the fact that it is an un-missable destination.
