Haena Beach Park is one among the prominent north shore attractions of Kauai. The popularity of the beach is evident from the number of tourists visiting the beach every year. The presence of Mount Makana directly behind the beach is the major factor contributing to the magnificent look of the beach. this is the main reaosn that you see many beautiful plants in this area. The exotic northern pacific also makes it a great place for vacations.

Some of the more popular activities are picnicking and camping. The sudden drop off as well as undertow is a factor making the water conditions in the beach treacherous. Having lifeguards make this beach a bit safer though. There are also tunnels that you might like to visit here. It has one of the best places for snorkeling.

In the winter season, Haena beach is often dangerous for swimming because of the heavy ocean swells experienced by the beach. At times, the guards have to close down the beach for the safety of the tourists. It’s considered as a great scene by the tourists but getting in the water during the swells is not at all recommended.

Attractions of the beach:

The presence of many other tourist destinations in the vicinity of the beach makes it a lot more popular. Haena is also famous for the County campgrounds in the summer season, although many prefer to stay in one of the luxury vacation rentals in the area like Hale Makai Cottages.

Maniniholo Cave is a popular place to visit. This is located in the foot of Mount Makana. Waikanaloa Wet Cave, the counterpart of Maniniholo is also near the beach. Waikanaloa Wet Cave is quite famoys for the presence of a large and still water pool.

According the myth, both these caves were dug by menehune, the little industrious people of Kauai. The fable states that Maniniholo, the chief fisherman of menehune ordered these caves in the search of Akua, a fish-stealing creature. Waikokanaloa wet cave is very close to the Kee Bach, another popular destination of Kauai.

It is not among the flattest terrains and this makes the journey a little slow. Limahuli National Tropical Garden is another popular destination for tourists. It is between Haena beach and Waikokanaloa wet cave.

The garden is a great treasury of the native Hawaiian plants that are quite rare. The garden is built in terraces. The view from the top of the Limahuli is exotic with a panorama of the Makana Mountain. This beach is of great importance in the tourist map. However, getting to the locations is easy through Hanalei. On your way, you can also witness the famous one-lane bridges of Hanalei.

Heana beach is another great reason to visit the Kauai North Shore!

f you ask anyone in the world what their dream destination is, chances are they are going to tell you “Hawaii.” With alluring ocean waves, breathtaking landscapes, and a vast amount of natural beauty surrounding the island — it is no surprise why millions of vacationers visit this destination each year. While there are hundreds of cities in Hawaii, one of the most awe-inspiring hotspots is Kauai. From rich beach hangouts to an array of activities such as parasailing and surfing; the opportunities are endless. The beauty of this island makes it one of the top Kauai Destination Weddings iIn the world.

One of the most popular things to do on Kauai is to relax on the beach. Lumahai Beach Park is a wonderful place to visit if you are looking to take beautiful photos. while you aren’t suppose to swim here, the landscape is an amazing thing. Clear waters, cliffs, and tons of palm trees remind you what makes this island a paradise. Additionally, this beach was also home to the infamous South Pacific movie.

We all love to relax on the beach, but at some point, we like to go above and beyond our normal every day experiences. If you are looking for adventure, Wailua Falls is the place to go. Beautiful waterfalls surround moderate to difficult hiking trails that extend down the mountain. While some of them might be a little harder than others, people will tell you that it is worth it. You not only are able to travel down to the bottom of the waterfall, but you are allowed to take photos and experience a plethora of wild life. Looking for a little peace? Hawaii residents suggest going early, as it does get crowded in the afternoon hours.

When a person goes to Hawaii, everyone knows that you have to try the #1 hobby; surfing. At “Hawaiian Surfing Adventures” in Kilauea near Princeville on the North Shore Kauai, you will certainly get your fair share of the sport. With affordable hourly rates and funny instructors, this is and extremely recommended. By learning how to surf, you will not only be able to take it back with you after your vacation, but you may end up finding something new that you love to do. Anyone can learn to surf as long as they are ready to fall!

If regular sailing is not your cup of tea, you may want to try windsurfing. Kauai Windsurfing is a must-do thing. At this eye-catching beach, you will easily learn how to master the craft. The waves are never too large and is generally calm. For beginners, this is a perfect destination. But the instructors are also happy to teach you tricks. While the equipment may not be top notch, the windsurfing is definitely a one of a kind experience.

If your reason to come to Kauai is to plan an exotic wedding, one of the most famous locations is Hanalei Beach. The beautiful white sand beaches and ample room make this a perfect wedding location.

When we imagine a breathtaking island, we usually envision something that resembles Hawaii. With thousands of their islands and picture perfect sunsets appearing on postcards worldwide, it is clear why people have no problem flying to this destination. Kauai is truly a peaceful haven — filled with nature, serenity, and luxury. With thousands of activities to do upon arrival, the opportunities to have a memorable vacation are endless.

This beach is spread over an area of six acres. with the moutains on one side and the ocean on the other, this beach offers the best place you could have for pictures and sight seeing. Some people call this beach Maniniholo. This is because Manini fish is present in the waters of this beach.

This beach os great for camping on. There are palm trees on this beach, which provides a good shade while relaxing on this beach. The waves are much bigger in the winter time. Many surfers like to challange this beach by surfing here. In the summer, the ocean is calm here. During the summer, you can enjoy swimming and snorkeling. This beach has a golden sand. having a picnic here would be a good idea. Various facilities like showers, picnic tables and restrooms are available near this beach.

Whether you are going on a family vacation, a spring break vacation with college friends, or even your honeymoon, Hawaii is a great place to visit at any time of year. Before you go here are a few things to consider.. These important tips that can help you have a great time while you are in Hawaii.

Tip #1 – No Touching a Nene – A Nene is the Hawaii state bird, and while they may look cute, they can be very defensive, especially if they have babies. These birds are also endangered species, so even if they look cute, touching or even approaching these birds are against the law. There is a heavy fine for touching endangered species, it’s not worth the risk.

Tip #2 – Get the Flower Lei Greeting – One of the most exciting experiences to enjoy in Hawaii is the flower lei greeting, but some vacation packages may not have this greeting included. With your final arrangements for your trip, make sure that you will get the flower lei greeting when you land in Hawaii. Moat travel agencies can arrange for this.. It is a great experience and no trip to Hawaii is complete without it.

Tip #3 – Avoid Sunburn – You will be in the sun a lot, a sunburn can spoil your trip.. Forgetting to where sunscreen can ruin your trip – Don’t Get Burned!. Prevent getting sunburned with sunsceen is the best idea, but if you do end up with a burn, Aloe Vera gel and lidocaine are great for getting rid of the burn.

Tip #4 – Pack a Sweater or Jacket – While Hawaii is generally quite warm during the day time, at night it can get a bit cooler. You may want to pack a sweater or a light jacket when you go to Hawaii, evenings on the Hawaiian islands can get a little cool.. If wearing a jacket is not your style, make sure you pack a few shirts that have longer sleeves and are a bit warmer than what you would usually wear during the day so you are comfortable during the evenings.

Tip #5 – Take an Umbrella – When visiting Hawaii especially between October and May, its a good idea to pack an umbrella. During this time of the year, Hawaii gets a great deal of rain, and although showers do not last long, more than likely you will get caught in one at some point. Unless you love walking or running in the rain, you will need to have an umbrella just in case.

Don’t forget to check out some greate sites like Oahu Vacations Ideas to get ideas on the best places to stay, places to eat, beaches to visit and activities.
